After nearly two decades, I've decided to leave for good.
DeviantArt has made a huge pivot towards AI in recent times. It trained on our works to sell a genAI service, and most recently has been bragging about how much money users are making by selling AI generated content.
This site changed my life, and I have so much to thank it for. However, it clearly no longer represents a place for artists, so I see no point in keeping a profile/gallery here.
Moving forward, I will be joining a small pixel art project.
This small community is (miraculously) still free from toxicity and the abundance of AI slop.
It feels good to create and connect with artists like in the old days, even though it may not be the epic grand art most of you know me for. If you want to check it out, feel free to give a follow.
The accounts are new, so there isn't much there, but I intend to post lots of pixels.
Finally, I want to extend my sincerest and deepest thanks to all the people who followed and supported me here over the many, many years. It breaks my heart to leave dA, but I feel that I must.
