I could see this being in the slums of Brazil. The fact that this isn't epic for you makes me shake my head at how much further I have to go. Glad to see you including more people in your work. I really like the idea of a full illustration even if the story is something as simple as some underprivileged kids playing soccer barefoot.

Hi Jonas; I wasn't really planning on saying much, as I do realize that you get an awful lot of comments. However, I think I recognize you (yes, I am also a Belgian...) and I truly wonder if this is you. See - I used to know a Jonas who was awesome at matte paintings and art in general. We went to the same school (college - dae) in Kortrijk - but only briefly. It would be great to know - given that I always sort of wondered what happened to him.

Anyway - I'll take the opportunity as well to tell you how much I love your work. Not just for the technique, but for the subjects you choose. This one especially immediately caught my eye (and my heart as well, I fear) - and that, to me, is what represents great art. Thank you so much for sharing this...
