Rubbletown Falls by JonasDeRo Rubbletown Falls by JonasDeRo
Suddenly had this idea in my head, painted it today.
I like bright water.

Textures: Made in Morocco & India (by Me [link])
Caustics: After effects
The rest: Photoshop about 9 hours :)

Enjoy

Hey, I know this place, its right up the road from me!

Why do I like ruins so much?  Doesn't seem healthy...

Very cool & very realistic! the wreckage is fantastic!  I'd animate the water a bit more at the bottom to make it seem more flowy...

Very interesting idea and as usual, I love the way the light is done. The light and sky make it seem like this place has been abandoned for a very long time.

I keep thinking you've got some sort of psychic link to the end of this century, and actual scenes from then keep popping into your head... :-)

How many textures did you use in this? I've been experimenting with applying textures but I am such a noob, it never comes out realistic. Sigh, back to the drawing board.

atleast over 20-30
all the rubble is from different pictures, the car, rocks, clouds, and rusted iron plates are all seperate textures. the water and building facades are mostly handpainted

I love how in most of your drawings like this...there is nothing "living"... but the landscape always has something very alive about it...like the Water looks so vibrant and innocent and pure... it has entered into this sterile landscape that has forgotten the violence in the past that brought it to this state....and has forgiven...the water is bringing life back to it.

in other pictures the life is the lighting...or the patterns on the ground or on the sides of buildings, they seem to be entities that are very at home and alive in the abandoned dystopias that you draw ^w^...

hahah Ramble  >w<
